In a previous role, my contract was about to expire.
Two weeks left.
No offers.
No callbacks.
Just… silence.
I was applying everywhere.
Networking and networking.
Requesting information interviews.
Interviewing.
Still nothing.
One day, during lunch, I slipped into the bathroom.
I whispered a quiet prayer:
“Lord, please. Just one door.”
Then, days later, it happened.
An email.
Subject line: “Congratulations…”
I froze.
I stared.
I whispered: “Thank You, God.”
That moment changed me.
Because I realized—
Waiting isn’t wasted time.
It’s preparation time.
My friend, that email will come!
The one that says: “Congrats, you’re hired!”
Believe it!
While you wait, master your mindset:
1️⃣ Focus on what you can control.
You can’t force timing, but you can sharpen your skills daily.
2️⃣ Curate your LinkedIn presence.
Your profile should convey a compelling and up-to-date career story.
3️⃣ Practice opportunity readiness.
Be prepared to interview on short notice—your “yes” could come tomorrow.
4️⃣ Guard your mental energy.
Filter out negativity; the wrong voices can delay your right door.
If you’re in the waiting, I see you.
Your “yes” is already in motion.
And when it arrives, it will make sense—
Every rejection.
Every tear.
Every prayer.
I pray you get that email.
Soon.
